PhD position available in Shaul Pollak's group

VDS MES group leader Shaul Pollak is currently looking for a PhD student in the field of environmental systems microbiology. The position will involve developing and combining state-of-the-art machine learning and experimental methods to tackle a grand challenge in environmental microbiology – predicting ecosystem function from the sum of its parts. Because of the effects of climate change, this is one of the most important scientific questions in the 21st century. This position will push the boundaries in bacterial genomics, bacterial ecology, evolution, and environmental systems research.
