Calin Rares Lucaciu successfully defended his PhD thesis entitled "Computational Challenges in the Assembly and Analysis of Non-Model Plant Genomes and Their Microbiomes" on October 14, 2025.

The board of examiners included Ovidiu Paun (University of Vienna), Remy Bruggmann (University Bern), & Manuel Spannagl (Helmoltz-Zentrum Munich). Congratulations, Calin!
